What Is the Purpose and Goal of Drilling Water Wells?
Water is the most vital necessity—alongside basic food—for a person to sustain their daily life. Yet, it is reported that more than a billion people worldwide lack access to clean water. Consequently, nearly 5,000 children lose their lives every day—amounting to close to 2 million annually—due to diseases caused by contaminated water and unsanitary conditions. A significant portion of these deaths occurs in African and Asian countries. The primary objective of the water well project is to offer at least a glimmer of hope to those facing the hardships depicted in this grim reality.

Shedding Light on the Future
Education is the most crucial step for individuals to discover their potential and for society to prepare for a stronger future. However, due to war, poverty, and a lack of resources, many children are unable to receive a consistent education. Every child deprived of education faces a future at risk, as does the society to which they belong.

As DARUL INSAN, we deliver copies of the Holy Quran across a vast region extending from Turkey to 49 other countries. By gifting copies of the Quran to people of all ages—from students in need to villagers—we help strengthen their spiritual lives.

What Does Qurban (Sacrifice) Mean?
While the word qurban denotes material or spiritual closeness in a general sense, in religious terminology, it refers to an act of worship involving the sacrifice of an animal—a financial act of devotion—with the aim of drawing closer to Allah.

It is known that the practice of sacrifice existed in religions prior to Islam as well. Sacrifice is a significant act of worship within Islamic societies; it keeps the spirit of mutual aid, solidarity, sharing, and brotherhood alive, and builds bonds of affection between the wealthy and the poor or needy.
