What Is the Purpose and Goal of Drilling Water Wells?
Water is the most vital necessity\u2014alongside basic food\u2014for a person to sustain their daily life. Yet, it is reported that more than a billion people worldwide lack access to clean water. Consequently, nearly 5,000 children lose their lives every day\u2014amounting to close to 2 million annually\u2014due to diseases caused by contaminated water and unsanitary conditions. A significant portion of these deaths occurs in African and Asian countries. The primary objective of the water well project is to offer at least a glimmer of hope to those facing the hardships depicted in this grim reality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As DARUL INSAN, we deliver copies of the Holy Quran across a vast region extending from Turkey to 49 other countries. By gifting copies of the Quran to people of all ages\u2014from students in need to villagers\u2014we help strengthen their spiritual lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

While the word qurban<\/em> denotes material or spiritual closeness in a general sense, in religious terminology, it refers to an act of worship involving the sacrifice of an animal\u2014a financial act of devotion\u2014with the aim of drawing closer to Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is known that the practice of sacrifice existed in religions prior to Islam as well. Sacrifice is a significant act of worship within Islamic societies; it keeps the spirit of mutual aid, solidarity, sharing, and brotherhood alive, and builds bonds of affection between the wealthy and the poor or needy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
